Christmas 08

What a fun Christmas we had. Even though we didn't make the trip to ND, we still had a great time. The girls had a blast opening their presents. Well, Lexi did a majority of the opening and Natalee just enjoyed playing.

We had lots and lots of snow this year. Thank goodness for the kind neighbors we have here in Liberty Lake. Everyone has been shoveling and snow blowing our driveway and walkways. That's no small task considering the size of our driveway and that we live on a corner with lots of sidewalks.
The girls are always helping me in the Kitchen. So, I got them these refrigerator magnet toys. I thought it would detour them from my Tupperware cabinet...no such luck. Now, I not only have Tupperware dishes all over my kitchen floor, I have little magnet pieces all over.

We had lots of visitors the weekend before Christmas. Kyle, Kelsey, Lexi & Keller came through and stayed for a weekend. Tom, Kim, & kids came to visit too. It was fun having family for Christmas.

Winter is on it's way...yuk!

We have begun to get ready for winter. The yard is cleaned, patio furnature packed away, plant put away for the season, and winter cloths and coats are ready for wear.
I'm certainly not ready though. The last one was way to long.
Here is my little Natalee all content playing with her car she got from Tia D.

Little Lexi JJ playing with her sippy cups while mommy make pancakes on a Sunday morning.

She loves to be in the kitchen with me and I love her company.

They both play in the tupperware cupboard and here is Lexi deciding she is going to put the pasta strainer on her head as a hat. I thought that was simply adorable!

Little Miss Natalee trying to get at mommy's camera.

They are growing and changing every day. Lexi has begun to walk, and Natalee is probably not too far behind. They both love to climb the stairs. The only difference is Lexi is a climbing speed demon and Natalee prefers to WALK up them with mommy holding her hands. Her legs are no bigger than the step itself. Needless to say it is pretty entertaining to watch.

The Big Birthday Bash

Hard to believe an entire year has passed. Here is our first family picture, taken just minutes after the delivery of my beautiful twin daughters 9/26/2007.

Here we are one year later on their first birthday celebration. What a fun day. We were so lucky to celebrate with family and friends. The day was filled with excitement. Everyone tells you that the first birthday is more for mom than babies and I think they are right. The girls had a blast but had no clue it was all for them.

Once they started on their cakes the stress of getting ready for this big day all melted away with my laughter. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Natalee was such a little princess with her dainty little tastes of the cool whip frosting. Exact opposite was her sister. Lexi couldn't get to that cake fast enough.

This picture is titled: Let Me At It. Here they are...first tastes of sugar in that quantity. They loved their little butterfly cakes. It was a joy just watching them have that much fun. It was a day I will never forget.
Happy Birthday Natalee Lynn and Alexis Jae. You are the best thing that ever happened to me. I love you more than you will ever know.

My Cup Overfloweth...

Its hard to believe I have had these two in my life for almost a year...well over a year if you count the time in my belly :) I still look at them in amazement. The coming of their birthday is so bittersweet. I look at all the things they learn with such excitement, yet it is so sad they will never be tiny little babies again. This year has been the longest yet shortest year of my life, the most exhausting yet, at the same time, the most exhilarating year. I am the luckiest mom ever!!!

Day at the Fair

What a day we had. The girls and I went to the county fair with our friend Brook and her kids. We had a blast! The girls saw all the animals we read about on a daily basis. Natalee is my little animal lover. Lexi...not so much. The small ones she liked better. Natalee didn't care about their size she'd put her hands in any animals mouth. They were so worn out. Lexi stayed awake on the ride home, but as you can see Little Miss Natalee didn't quite make it. We barely hit the freeway and she was out. So much fun!!!

Almost One

23 More days until the big day!

I Can't believe how fast they change and learn these days. Lexi is walking along furniture, she has learned "so big" and puts her arms up as far as she can. Natalee has finally had the courage to pull herself up to standing. She gets so proud of herself. She too, knows the "so big". They are both kissing and hugging everything and everyone.

I had Natalee out on the lawn the other day while Lexi was sleeping and she began crawling on the grass for the first time. She thought it was so fun. Then she began going for the mulch to eat it. I kept turning her around, but she is a stubborn one!

They love their wagon. We alternate the stroller for the wagon every night on our after dinner walks. They have made friends with all the neighborhood kitties and dogs. I'm afraid I will be getting hounded for a pet soon.

We had to pull out all our fall cloths a couple of days ago. The girls look so cute in their little outfits. It's sure sad to pack away all their tiny summer outfits.

We are counting down the days until the big birthday bash. We just got news on Monday that Grandma and Auntie Jan are flying out for the party. I couldn't be happier. Christmas was the last time they saw their auntie and April since they saw Grandma. They will be so surprised at the changes. I can't wait!

This first year has blown by. I have been so blessed. I love my new home, my new job, my life with my daughters. So much has happened over the past year and I know I am where I am supposed to be. Life is so good. Exhausing, but good!

Changes everyday

Just a few short weeks and my babies will be one year old. They are learning so much these days.
Lexi plays peak-a-boo with any thing that will cover her face. She has learned to give hugs to all her stuffed animals. She copies me whatever I do.
Natalee has caught up to her sister and has learned to crawl - Yehaw!!!! She waves bye-bye and now has four teeth. She loves to make me laugh - and it's an every day occurance.
They love music and dancing. We bought some bongos, a play drum, and a musical guitar, that, along with their Leap Frog music table, these two are dancing all the time. This is such a great age!

First Day at the Beach

I love their "firsts". Today was their first time at the beach. We had a blast! We went out to the campground/beach at Liberty Lake. We went for about a 2 mile hike - where little miss Lexi fell asleep. Then we went down by the beach and had a picnic lunch.

We had a little visitor who wanted a little bit of the girls lunch. Natalee & Lexi just laughed at the duck. They both got to go into the water, which they just loved. Then they hit the sand...thats about when Mom was ready to pack up and go. Having two babies go in different directions eating sand, is not the "ideal" picnic lunch :). It was cute though! We will definately make that one of our fun places to go - it is only about 10 minutes from our house.

Babies First Picnic

Everything tastes better outside. The girls and I went on our first picnic yesterday. I had the day off from work, so we went to Coeur d' Alene for the art, craft, and music festival in the park. We had lots of fun and the girls were completely entertained.

Leaving for California

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, well what about the anxiety you feel when you have to leave your babies overnight for the first time... YIKES!!!

I am leaving for an overnight trip to California to visit one of the hospitals I manage this week and it will be the first night away from my babies. I trust they are in good hands with their nanny, however, I am still riddled with anxiety. I am posting these pics so I can log in and see them from my hotel room :)

10 Months Old (yesterday :) )

Everyone tells you how time flys by when your babies are little. I guess you don't realize to what extent until you are a mother yourself. I cannot believe my babies are 10 months old already. Moreover, I cannot believe that in two short months they are going to have their first birthday.

They are learning to eat on their own. This only started because they are so darn independent, they refuse to let me feed them anymore. They love trying new foods. It makes for great fun going to restaurants. (mainly because I don't have to sweep the floor).

Here are some recent pictures of my two little monkeys.
